Frontend Javascript Developer

At Limecraft, we are building the next generation collaboration and workflow platform to help creative video teams to produce top notch content.

Whether active in film or TV production, corporate video or advertising, our system is designed for maximum productivity during the shooting, story editing and post-production processes. Producers, post-production facilities, broadcasters and corporate video teams benefit from our cloud based workflow solution that seamlessly integrates with their existing tools.

Our customers include: BBC, Warner Bros, France Television, VRT, RTBF, Hotel Hungaria, deMENSEN,…

Feel like joining us? We’re currently looking for a front-end javascript developer (medior or senior) to help us build kickass applications.

What You Will Be Doing

You’ll help developing the front-end code of our online platform Limecraft Flow and our standalone Limecraft Edge software. Both are single page JavaScript web apps.

Some of the problems we tackle are quite complex (*), so you’ll need  an analytical mind. You get your teeth into the problem and craft the perfect JavaScript code for it. The code you write is part of a large single page application, and should be clean and maintainable.

Sometimes the code wasn’t perfect. Then you’ll use your strong debugging and problem solving skills to track down and fix the problem.

It’s not all JavaScript though. When we start thinking about big new features, you’ll participate in the thinking and design process. You come up with solutions on how to make a difficult task still fun and intuitive for the user, while also fitting into our existing platform. You can make abstract ideas concrete by drawing screens in e.g. Illustrator. We’ll iterate on them, get user feedback, so we end up with a well-specified UI/UX to develop before we write any code. You are able to slice a design into clean HTML and css (we use the Less preprocessor).

You have experience with best practices in software development: version control (we use git), issue tracking, documentation, pull requests, …

Some other skills which are useful are node.js, webpack, Grunt, Solr, HTMLMediaElement API.

(*) How would you build a text editor where each word should be linked to a video frame, while the user is typing?
