Languages & The Media, the leading international conference on Language Technology in the Audio Visual industry, gives you the chance to meet leading experts and key industry stakeholders. A packed programme will focus on the latest trends and technologies in the world of media localisation and access services.

Language & The Media 2021 takes place online September 20 – 24, 2021. Throughout its 26-year long history, Languages & the Media has established itself as Europe’s leading conference in the AVT industry and is a vital hub for collaboration, learning and discussion. The conference unites those involved in the production, marketing and distribution of audiovisual content and explores the trends and technologies that are changing the provision of audiovisual media and the ways we consume it across and within languages.

Limecraft’s CEO Maarten Verwaest will share first hand insights on the Use of AI for Computer Assisted Subtitling, and discuss the state of the art and in particular the advances made during the MeMAD project. When properly implemented and operated, Artificial Intelligence can create tremendous opportunities for broadcasters and LSP seeking operational efficiency. Also, and perhaps more importantly, it allows individual language professionals to improve their margin whilst unit prices are plummeting.

Register to attend Languages & The Media 2021 here and listen to the talk at 10:30 – 12:00 CEST, September 22, 2021
