Feel like joining us? We’re currently looking for a Backend Software Developer. If you thrive in a creative environment, you will find a home with us at Limecraft.

A Day in the Life

Reporting to the CTO, you have a unique opportunity to help us expand our platform.

  • Developing critical backend components in the Limecraft platform software stack.
  • Working on improving and extending the platform’s integration points (i.e., the REST API, our Node.js SDKs and libraries, custom workflows and integrations with external data sources and services, etc.).
  • Managing documentation, for internal use as well as for partners and customers.
  • Helping validate our software’s quality by maintaining and implementing various automated tests (from small unit tests to full-scale integration tests).
  • Assisting in the setup and installation of on-premise installations of our platform.

You Have

  • Excellent programming skills in at least Java (incl. Hibernate and Spring) and Node.js (Javascript + Typescript) and a deep understanding of common data structures and algorithms.
  • Knowledge about software configuration management and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef and Docker).
  • Scripting notions (Bash, Javascript and a little bit of Python here and there) and have a firm grasp of developing with Git version control, Git workflows and at least some experience in developing with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Resourcefulness and passion for making things happen, while you also have the ability to change directions and seek new ideas if needed. You are proactive and not afraid to learn – fail – and learn again.

You Might Also Have

  • Any knowledge in the area of video and audio encoding, file-based media production, video editing and creation tools is a definite plus. In any case, you’re passionate about technology, media and film production and firmly believe in the future of cloud-based applications.

We Have

  • A challenging and creative full-time opportunity in a growing and dynamic workplace.
  • A diversified job with a sweet cup of independence in which we support huge growth and stimulate your learning potential.
  • An interesting salary package supplemented with fringe benefits.
  • A great office in Ghent with free coffee and drinks, along with flexible working hours and first-class support for working remotely as well.

If you’re interested in this role, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to drop us an email or reach out otherwise.
