This update extends earlier releases in different ways, bringing an entirely new Limecraft panel for Adobe Premiere Pro, improved time code management, adding global commenting options in the space of online collaboration, a file overview for admins, significantly improved accuracy of audio transcription, and a couple of new languages including Irish. Here is the gist. New Panel for Adobe Premiere Pro The Limecraft Panel for Adobe Premiere Pro, which has been part of our portfolio since the 2023.5 release and which journalists and editors use to get quality subtitles for their items in seconds, has received a considerable upgrade. More specifically, the panel now offers native support to navigate content via collections and breadcrumbs, which is essential when operating large databases. 💡 Download the Limecraft Panel for Adobe Premiere Pro on the Adobe Exchange, and more information about how to use the panel on our knowledge base. File Management As of this 2024.7 release, we are making a file overview console available for more accessibility, easier search and supporting the concept of volumes. This function is exclusively accessible by Account Admins and Workspace Admins. 💡More info about how to use the file overview on our knowledge base. Improved Time Code Interpretation We found out that time codes of certain mp4 files were not properly handled as part of the ingest process. Extracting and applying the exact time code, rather than manually offsetting, is essential when importing and conforming existing subtitle files. The ingest process now supports timecode extraction from SEI messages in H264 video during ingest. SEI messages are a special parameter that is specified for H. 264 and H. 265, intended to specify how the frame should be displayed including timing information. To make sure subtitling import and confirm functions work as expected, we included interpretation of SEI messaging. General Comments In an ongoing effort to improve the online collaboration features, this release caters for general comments. These are comments applicable to the items as a whole, as opposed to specific subclips. In effect, when browsing the library, users are able to search for general comments only. 💡More info about using global and specific comments on the knowledge base. More Accurate Transcription and Additional Languages Through our partnership with Speechmatics, we have been able to improve the Word Error Rate by another +/- 20% for all languages. Also, we have added a list of new language options, including Irish, Maltese and a range of Arabic language flavours.
