Adding Media Cloud Storage to your Workspace

We are excited to announce new add-on storage options to the Pro and Team Subscriptions. Cloud-based Media nicely complement your the hybrid storage architecture, and allow you to balance cost and performance.

Some of the key things that set Limecraft apart are the Pro and Team plan subscriptions, addressing the needs of content agencies or project-based media businesses. These subscription plans offer the convenience to store, manage, access, and collaborate or share your content in just a few easy clicks, without the need to invest in hard drives and expensive file transfer services.

Same easy subscription, more value

Last fall, we updated our online Pro and Team plans. We consolidated price plans, introduced the concept of ‘Managed Media’, and now we allow you to add complementary high-resolution storage according to your requirements. These subscription plans help professionals focus on the creative side of things, instead of worrying about storage, file transfers, and access control.

Your Limecraft subscription with storage add-ons

We get that usage limits were still a concern. We heard things like:

“I want to burn in subtitles using high-resolution material. Is that possible?”, and

“I need to send double the amount of transfers to clients next month only. Is there a solution for me?”

So we introduced add-on storage blocks! These prepaid add-ons allow Pro and Team subscribers to easily customise their subscriptions by purchasing complementary high-resolution storage to securely share edit proxies or masters, or to use as active storage. The key benefit of this type of storage is flexibility. As a subscriber, you can choose only what you need; we allow you to upgrade and downgrade according to your usage needs each month.

How Add-on Storage Works

Let’s examine the two examples:

Scenario 1:  “I’m in the Team plan and I want to burn in subtitles using high-resolution material. Is that possible?”

As Team subscriber, you can use up 250 GB of high-resolution media as part of your subscription fee and free of extra charges. By making sure you only keep the high-resolution versions for the files that may require further processing, you are probably good to go as such.

Scenario 2: “I need to send double the amount transfers to clients next month only. Is there a solution for me?”

As Pro or Team subscriber, you can use up 50GB resp. 250 GB of high-resolution media as part of your subscription fee and free of extra charges. Starting at a rate of €10,90 per 100GB, Pro and Team subscribers can purchase a 100 GB data storage block for just one month. Once special delivery to their clients is finished, subscribers can easily downgrade their plan to the standard subscription configuration from the ‘Plans and Payments’ page in their Account Settings. If further requirements arise in the future, subscribers can easily spin up and wind down complementary storage again anytime.
