Limecraft Nominated for Excellence in Sustainability

Ghent, Belgium, 12^th April 2024 – Mediatech innovators Limecraft are very proud to have been nominated by NAB for an Excellence in Sustainability Award. First launched in 2023, this awards program recognises individuals, companies, and products/services for outstanding innovations in media technology that promote sustainability and foster economic and social development.

Commenting on the nomination, Limecraft co-founder Maarten Verwaest is very pleased to see Limecraft appearing on the short-list. “We are not a hardware company with a manufacturing facility but our operations still have a carbon footprint, and we are certainly not immune from a responsibility to the environment. If anything, the growth of cloud-based solutions has been driving an increase in energy consumption, and so it is imperative that we work with key suppliers to reduce our combined environmental impact. From promoting greener forms of travel and a greater use of renewable energy to stringent recycling and carbon offsetting schemes, we’re constantly measuring our impact on the local and wider environment and considering what more we can do to reduce this. I’m delighted for the whole Limecraft team that these efforts are being recognised by NAB.”
